Julian F. Grow was an American author and journalist who wrote extensively about the American West. He was born in San Francisco in 1891 and graduated from Stanford University in 1914. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I and afterwards worked as a newspaper reporter in California and Arizona. He wrote several books about the American West, including The Trouble With Truth (1963), which was a collection of stories about the people and places of the West. He also wrote a number of books about the history of the American West, including The West of the Old West (1962) and The West of the New West (1965). He died in 1975.
