L.J. Stecher was an American author and journalist who wrote several books in the 1960s. She was born in New York City and graduated from the University of Wisconsin. She worked as a reporter for the Milwaukee Journal and the Chicago Tribune before becoming a freelance writer. Her books include Cakewalk to Gloryanna (1963), The Biggest Little Town in the World (1965), and The Great American Dream (1966). She also wrote several short stories and articles for magazines such as The Saturday Evening Post and Redbook. She died in 1969.
