Lillian Nicholson Shearon (1890-1962) was an American author and educator. She was born in North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1912. She then went on to teach in the public schools of North Carolina for several years. Shearon wrote several books for children, including The Little Mixer (1922), The Little Red Hen (1923), and The Little Brown Hen (1924). She also wrote a number of short stories and articles for magazines such as The Saturday Evening Post and The Delineator. Shearon was an active member of the North Carolina Writers' Association and the North Carolina Federation of Women's Clubs. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Shearon died in 1962 in North Carolina.
