Marcus Aurelius

Marcus Aurelius (121-180 AD) was a Roman Emperor and Stoic philosopher. He is best known for his philosophical work, Meditations, which is considered one of the most important works of Stoic philosophy. He was the last of the Five Good Emperors, and is remembered for his leadership and his commitment to Stoic principles. He is also remembered for his campaigns against the Germanic tribes, which he successfully defended the Roman Empire from. He is considered one of the most important figures in the history of Rome.
