Alex Apostolides is a writer and editor based in New York City. He has written for a variety of publications, including The New York Times, The Atlantic, and The New Yorker. He is the author of the novel The Last Days of Socrates, which was a finalist for the National Book Award. Mark Clifton is an American science fiction author best known for his novel They'd Rather Be Right, which won the 1955 Hugo Award for Best Novel. He also wrote the novel Eight Keys to Eden, which was nominated for the Hugo Award in 1960. Clifton's other works include the short story collections The Forever Machine and The Alien Mind. He was a member of the Futurians, a group of science fiction writers and fans in the 1940s.
