Mary Cholmondeley (1859-1925) was an English novelist and short story writer. She was born in London and educated at home. She wrote over twenty novels, many of which were set in the English countryside. Her works often featured strong female characters and explored themes of love, marriage, and family. She was a popular author in her day, and her works were translated into several languages. She was also a member of the Royal Society of Literature.
