Eros and Psyche is a retelling of the classic Greek myth of the same name by Richard Aldington. The story follows the two lovers, Eros and Psyche, as they struggle to overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of their love. Eros, the god of love, is captivated by Psyche, a mortal woman, and decides to make her his bride. However, his jealous mother, Aphrodite, is determined to keep them apart. She sets Psyche a series of impossible tasks, which Psyche must complete in order to prove her worthiness to be with Eros. Throughout the story, Eros and Psyche must battle against the gods and goddesses of Olympus, as well as their own inner demons, in order to be together. Along the way, they learn valuable lessons about love, loyalty, and the power of faith. In the end, their love triumphs and they are finally united.
