Cupid vs Pollux by Robert E. Howard
In the mythical land of Hyperborea, two brothers, Cupid and Pollux, are born to a powerful king. Cupid is the son of the king's first wife, while Pollux is the son of the king's second wife. The brothers are very different in personality and outlook. Cupid is a passionate and impulsive young man, while Pollux is more thoughtful and reserved. Despite their differences, the brothers are close and share a deep bond. When the king dies, the brothers are left to rule the kingdom together. However, their different approaches to ruling soon cause a rift between them. Cupid is determined to bring about change and progress, while Pollux is more conservative and traditional. The brothers eventually come to blows, and a civil war erupts between them. As the war rages on, the brothers must decide whether their bond is strong enough to survive the conflict. Will they be able to reconcile their differences and save their kingdom, or will their rivalry tear it apart?
