Rosa Mulholland (1841-1921) was an Irish novelist, poet, and playwright. She was born in Dublin and educated at the Royal Hibernian Academy. She wrote several novels, including The Chronicles of Carlingford (1862-1864), which was a bestseller in its day. She also wrote several plays, including The White Horse of the Peppers (1876) and The Witch of the Glen (1877). Her poetry was published in several collections, including The Poetical Works of Rosa Mulholland (1890). She was a popular figure in Dublin literary circles and was a friend of the poet William Butler Yeats. She died in 1921 in Dublin.
