Rudolph Fisher (1897–1934) was an African American physician, radiologist, novelist, and short story writer associated with the Harlem Renaissance. He was born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. Fisher graduated from Brown University and later earned a medical degree from Howard University.
