Sherwood Anderson (1876–1941) was an American novelist and short story writer, best known for his collection "Winesburg, Ohio" (1919). Born in Camden, Ohio, he worked various jobs before becoming a writer. Anderson's work often explores themes of isolation and the inner lives of ordinary people. His style influenced many writers, including Ernest Hemingway and William Faulkner. Anderson's other notable works include "Poor White" (1920) and "Dark Laughter" (1925).
