Stella Benson (1892-1933) was an English novelist, poet, and short story writer. She was born in London and educated at St. Paul's Girls' School. Benson's writing was often satirical and humorous, and she wrote about the lives of women in the early 20th century. Her works include the novels Living Alone (1923), The Little Room (1925), and The Relentless City (1930). Benson also wrote several collections of poetry, including The Little People (1925) and The Phoenix in the Fire (1927). Benson was a member of the Bloomsbury Group and was friends with Virginia Woolf and E.M. Forster. She died in 1933 at the age of 41.
