The Bride

The Bride is a novel by Theodosia Pickrering Garrison that tells the story of a young woman named Lizzie who is determined to find her own way in life. After her father dies, Lizzie is left with no money and no prospects. She is determined to make something of herself and so she sets out to find a job and a place to live. Along the way, she meets a variety of people who help her on her journey, including a kind-hearted farmer, a mysterious stranger, and a wealthy businessman. As she struggles to make her way in the world, Lizzie discovers that she has a strength and courage that she never knew she had. In the end, she finds true love and a place to call home.
