Made to Measure by W. W. Jacobs

The stranger then reveals that he is actually a ghost, and that he has been searching for a tailor who could make him a suit that would fit him in the afterlife. The story ends with Mr. White reflecting on the strange experience and wondering if he will ever see the ghost again.
