William Hunt was born in New York City in 1945. He is an American author and poet. He has written several books, including The Spectre Bridegroom (1976), The Book of the Dead (1978), and The Book of the Living (1980). He has also written several plays, including The Last Supper (1977) and The Last Temptation (1979). He has been a professor of English at the University of California, Berkeley, and has taught at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He currently lives in Berkeley, California.
