Jesus is the key to rightly interpreting Scripture. When the Jewish religious leaders confronted Jesus during his ministry, he told them, "You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me! " (John 5: 39, NLT). After his resurrection, Jesus walked with the travelers on the road to Emmaus and "took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself" (Luke 24: 27, NLT). And later he told his disciples, "These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you-that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled. " And then "he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures" (Luke 24: 44-45).

We can't understand Scripture rightly without knowing Jesus. He is the key. So what do Jesus' life, death, and resurrection, along with his teaching, have to tell us about healing our racial divide?
