The Courtship of Morrice Buckler
Morrice Buckler is a young man of good family, but with no money. He is determined to make his own way in the world, and so sets out to find a wealthy wife. He meets and falls in love with the beautiful and wealthy Lady Mary, but her father, Lord Glencairn, is determined to keep them apart. He arranges a series of tests for Morrice, which he must pass in order to win Lady Mary's hand.
Morrice must prove his worth by succeeding in a series of tasks, including a dangerous hunt, a tournament, and a duel. Along the way, he faces many obstacles, including the machinations of Lord Glencairn's scheming son, and the interference of a mysterious stranger. In the end, Morrice must rely on his courage, wit, and determination to win the hand of his beloved Lady Mary.
