Arthur Gask (1869–1951)

Arthur Gask (1866-1951) was an English novelist and playwright. He was born in London and educated at King's College, Cambridge. He wrote a number of novels, including The Riddle of the River (1908), The House of the Silent (1909), and The House of the Seven Gables (1910). He also wrote several plays, including The House of the Seven Gables (1912) and The House of the Silent (1913). He was a member of the Royal Society of Literature and was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 1920. He died in 1951 in London.
