The Rod of God by Catharine Shaw

The narrative follows Moses, who, despite being raised in Pharaoh's palace, remains connected to his Jewish roots. Witnessing the oppression of his people, he kills an Egyptian in defense of a Hebrew, leading to his flight from Egypt. During his exile, Moses encounters God in a burning bush, receiving a divine mission to liberate the Israelites. Initially hesitant, Moses is reassured by God’s promise of support and is given a rod that performs miracles as a sign of divine power. Accompanied by his brother Aaron, Moses returns to Egypt to confront Pharaoh with God's command to release the Israelites. Pharaoh's refusal sets the stage for a series of divine interventions aimed at securing the freedom of the Jewish people.
