Billy Bunny and the Turkey Gobbler by David Cory: Plot summary: Billy Bunny, a mischievous young rabbit, steals a turkey from a farmer's field and brings it back to his burrow. The farmer chases after him, but Billy outsmarts him and escapes with the turkey. However, when he tries to cook the turkey, he realizes it has come to life and is now a talking bird. The two become friends and go on adventures together, but eventually, the farmer catches up with them and demands his turkey back. Billy must use all of his cunning and wit to outsmart the farmer once again and save his new feathered friend.

Well, as I was saying in the last story, Billy Bunny and his good, kind Uncle Lucky said good-by to the Frog King. And the frog was very sorry to see them go, for although he was a king, his kingdom was only a frog pond.
But then, when you come to think of it, he couldn't have his kingdom any place else, so of course he was contented, and that's the chief thing in life, whether you're a king or a poor man.
