Dorothy L Sayers

Born on June 30, 1893, in Oxford, England. Daughter of a clergyman. Educated at home and later at Somerville College, Oxford. Worked as a copywriter for an advertising agency before becoming a full-time writer. Married to Oswald Cullinan in 1921, but the marriage was short-lived due to his infidelity. Remarried to Macdonald Hastings in 1932. Died on July 17, 1957, at the age of 64.
