A young woman rejects a suitor's advances during the summer, citing her busy schedule and the inappropriateness of his passionate declarations. She tells him to wait until winter when she will have more time for romance. The man departs, and the seasons pass. The woman's father dies, and she is left alone. When the suitor returns in the winter, she welcomes him warmly, having realized her mistake. They rekindle their romance, finding comfort and warmth together amidst the cold and darkness.
