The First Men in the Moon

The story follows a lunar expedition led by a mysterious figure known as Bedford, who has been experimenting with a new type of space travel. He invites two men, Arnold and Michael, to join him on the journey to the moon. Upon arrival, they discover that the moon is inhabited by a species of intelligent beings called Selenites. The Selenites are a highly advanced and organized society, living in vast underground cities. The travelers soon find themselves caught up in a complex web of intrigue and politics among the Selenites, who are struggling to maintain their power and control over the moon's resources. As they navigate this alien world, Arnold and Michael begin to question the true nature of Bedford's mission and the motivations behind it.
