Kris Neville

Kris Neville (1919-1972) was an American science fiction and fantasy author. He was born in San Francisco, California, and attended the University of California, Berkeley. He served in the United States Army during World War II, and afterwards worked as an engineer. Neville wrote several science fiction and fantasy stories, including "Bettyann" (1947), "The Unearthly" (1949), and "The Man Who Stole the Moon" (1951). His stories often featured themes of time travel, alternate realities, and the exploration of the unknown. He was a member of the Futurians, a group of science fiction writers and fans in the 1940s. Neville's work has been praised for its imaginative and thought-provoking themes. He was nominated for the Hugo Award for Best Short Story in 1951 for "The Man Who Stole the Moon". His work has been anthologized in collections such as The Best of Kris Neville (1975) and The Collected Stories of Kris Neville (2009).
