Despite this, Anne is determined to prove her worth and make a success of her new job. At the same time, Anne is also dealing with the romantic entanglements of her friends and family. Her best friend, Priscilla Grant, is in love with a man who is not interested in her, while Anne's own romantic life is complicated by the attentions of two different suitors.
