The fox gathers the dragon's former servants and presents them as Mikko's loyal followers. As the king and his entourage approach Mikko's castle, they encounter the woodsmen, grooms, and shepherds, all proclaiming their allegiance to "Mighty Mikko." Impressed by Mikko's apparent wealth and power, the king feels humbled. Upon reaching Mikko's castle, the king is welcomed with a grand feast. After several days, the king expresses his admiration for Mikko's home, and Mikko reassures him of his appreciation for the king's castle. The fox, having fulfilled his role in Mikko's rise, bids farewell, leaving Mikko with a beautiful princess and a magnificent castle, fulfilling his father's legacy of kindness and fortune.
