A few words are in order about the substance of Rozitchner's philosophy in general-that is, his peculiar brand of Freudo-Marxism, summed up in the two books Freud y los límites del individualismo burgués (Freud and the Limits of Bourgeois Individualism) and Freud y el problema del poder (Freud and the Problem of Power).17 Theoretically, the core of this philosophical proposal, which has remained remarkably-some would say stubbornly-consistent over the years, is twofold, combining as it does a thorough investigation into the roots of power and subjection in terror, on the one hand, with a willful retrieval of the collective potential for rebellion and subjectivization, on the other.
