I dreamed that my father emerged from his grave to take me with him.

He was a pastor, right? A Lutheran pastor. That means he believed faith could be achieved through grace, that salvation depends on God, not on man and his works. Are we predestined? Understand why I'm a Catholic. I don't believe in predestination. I believe in freedom, in spite of the church and its mistakes.
