Fred M. White

Fred M. White (1859-1935) was an English author of science fiction, mystery, and adventure stories. He was born in London and educated at King's College, London. He began writing in 1883 and published his first novel, The Doom of London, in 1887. He went on to write over 100 novels and short stories, many of which were published in magazines such as The Strand Magazine and Pearson's Magazine. His most famous works include The Doom of London, The White Hope, The Red Triangle, and The Mystery of the Four Fingers. He was a prolific writer and his works were popular in both Britain and the United States. He was also a member of the Detection Club, a group of British mystery writers.
