Earth's Tears and Man's

Earth's Tears and Man's is a collection of sonnets by Helen Hay Whitney. The poems explore the relationship between humans and the natural world, and the ways in which we are connected to each other and to the earth. The poems are divided into four sections: Nature, Love, Loss, and Hope. In Nature, the poet reflects on the beauty of the natural world and the power of its elements. In Love, she celebrates the joys of human relationships and the power of love. In Loss, she reflects on the pain of loss and the fragility of life. And in Hope, she finds solace in the promise of a better future. Through her words, Whitney encourages us to appreciate the beauty of the world around us and to find hope in the midst of sorrow.
