Kahlil Gibran

Kahlil Gibran (1883-1931) was a Lebanese-American poet, artist, and philosopher. He is best known for his 1923 book The Prophet, a collection of poetic essays that has been translated into more than 40 languages and has sold millions of copies. His other works include The Garden of the Prophet, The Madman, and Jesus, the Son of Man. He was also a prolific painter and sculptor, and his works have been exhibited in galleries around the world.
