Sarréo by Louis Becke (1901)

Sarréo is a novel by Louis Becke, first published in 1895. It is set in the South Pacific, and tells the story of a young man named Sarréo, who is the son of a chief on a small island. He is sent away to school in Australia, and upon his return, he finds his island in turmoil. His father has been killed, and the island is now under the control of a cruel and oppressive chief. Sarréo must find a way to restore peace and justice to his people, and reclaim his rightful place as the rightful leader of the island. Along the way, he meets a beautiful girl named Lola, and together they must face many dangers and challenges in order to succeed.
