Cold tower of the world

The poem is a lamentation of the loss of innocence and the disillusionment with the modern world. It describes a sense of disconnection between the individual and society, and the struggle to find one's place in the world. The speaker feels like they are living in a cold, dark tower, isolated from others and unable to connect with the world around them.
