Breaking a Spell by W. W. Jacobs

In the small village of Little Hintock, a mysterious spell has been cast on the inhabitants. The spell causes them to become forgetful and unable to remember anything from the past. The only way to break the spell is to find the source of the spell and destroy it. The village is in a state of panic as the spell continues to spread. The villagers turn to the local wise woman, Mrs. Dalloway, for help. She tells them that the spell was cast by a witch who lives in the nearby woods. The villagers set out to find the witch and break the spell. Along the way, they encounter strange creatures and magical forces. They eventually find the witch and discover that the spell was cast by her in order to protect her from a powerful enemy. The villagers must now find a way to break the spell and save the village. With the help of Mrs. Dalloway and her magical powers, they are able to break the spell and restore the village to its former glory.
