Henry VI, Part III

The play follows the conflict between the Yorkists and Lancastrians in England during the Wars of the Roses. King Henry VI, a weak and ineffective ruler, is overthrown by Richard Plantagenet, Duke of York, who becomes king. However, Henry's wife, Margaret of Anjou, and their son, Prince Edward, continue to fight for his restoration. The play ends with the death of many characters and the rise of the strong and ambitious Richard III, who will eventually become king.
