The play follows the story of Pericles, a young prince who is betrayed by his uncle and left to die at sea. He is rescued by a fisherman and eventually finds his way back to his homeland, where he seeks revenge against his uncle. Along the way, he falls in love with a woman named Thaisa, who is also falsely accused of infidelity by her own brother. Together, they face numerous challenges and obstacles before ultimately being reunited.
