The Unknown Gendarme, Juan Colorado, the Bro, Little Fart, Scarredface, the Jack-of-All-Trades, Number-One Juan, Borolas, Grubby, the Florid One, as well as, for the not-so-well-versed, the One-Armed Man from Celaya, the Centaur of the North, the Attila of the South, and the Baron of Cuatro Ciénagas, and for the dirtier-minded, the Five Fingernails.

Not that he was missing five fingers, but feigning that he only had five, he could conceal the shady dealings of his hidden hand. Five fingernails on one hand, that one visible, this one concealed, the man of a thousand names and the hidden hand used them and it to move silently, anonymously, from city to European city: his space. If here, he was the Bro; there, he was Borolas; and in places where he was called the Jack-of-All-Trades, nobody knew him as Scarredface.
