Keeper Of The Keys

Keeper of the Keys is a novel by Earl Derr Biggers, first published in 1921. It is the fourth book in the Charlie Chan series. The novel begins with Charlie Chan, a Chinese-American detective, being called to the home of a wealthy industrialist, John Quincy Winterslip. Winterslip has been receiving threatening letters from someone claiming to be the "Keeper of the Keys". Chan is asked to investigate the case and protect Winterslip's family. Chan soon discovers that the letters are connected to a mysterious cult known as the "Order of the Keys". He also discovers that the cult is connected to a series of murders that have been occurring in the area. As Chan investigates further, he discovers that the cult is connected to a powerful criminal organization. Chan must use all of his detective skills to unravel the mystery and protect the Winterslip family. Along the way, he must confront the cult's leader, a mysterious figure known only as the "Keeper of the Keys". In the end, Chan is able to bring the criminals to justice and protect the Winterslip family.
