Morning by Edith Nesbit (1905)

The poem's narrator recounts a chance encounter with Margaret in a woodland setting at dawn. They exchange no words, but the narrator is drawn to her and they share a romantic moment. The narrator wonders if time will erase this joyful memory and whether they will be able to forget it without regret.
