Outside the Universe

The narrative follows an interstellar patrol whose routine mission quickly transforms into an apocalyptic battle when they encounter an enemy far beyond any known threat. At first, mysterious forces—apparently a meteor swarm—are detected at the galaxy’s edge. Soon it becomes clear that these are not natural phenomena but a vast, hostile fleet of alien warships armed with deadly “death-beams” and sophisticated ether-manipulating technology. As the patrol’s diverse crew, drawn from many star systems, confronts this enemy, the battle erupts into a furious chase and desperate counterattack in the uncharted void between galaxies. During the relentless engagements, the protagonist and his lieutenants struggle to hold formation while witnessing enormous losses. The enemy vessels, manned by serpent-like beings originating from a dying, dark universe, exhibit terrifying technology and tactics—such as using attraction-ships to dismember captured vessels and unleashing beams that instantly annihilate life. In a series of daring maneuvers, the patrol ship narrowly escapes traps by plunging into hazardous ether regions where collisions of vast currents generate incredible heat and disintegration forces. Even as the enemy’s swarm gradually overtakes the patrol, intense battles in the void see entire squadrons reduced to drifting wreckage. Amid mounting devastation, intelligence gleaned from a captured enemy vessel reveals that these invaders are desperate survivors from a universe in terminal decay. Their forces, built from thousands of colossal, high‐speed starships, have been dispatched as an advance force to seize a foothold in a vibrant, life‐supporting universe. Their ultimate plan is to overwhelm and subjugate the native galaxies before launching their much larger main fleet back to conquer their dying homeland and any neighboring universes. In a final, audacious bid for survival, the protagonist’s remnants manage to repurpose a captured enemy craft to transmit an urgent plea for help across the inter-universal void. This desperate message reaches the Andromeda universe, where a vast, advanced fleet suddenly appears. Commanded by beings of a radically different nature—gaseous, pillar-like entities with a form of visual communication—the Andromedans engage the pursuing enemy. Their intervention is swift and drastic: using strange, force-projecting “sun-swinging” ships and energy weapons that crush enemy vessels, they halt the relentless pursuit. As the Andromedan reinforcements decimate the enemy’s advancing wing, the surviving patrol is rescued from near-certain doom. The Andromedan council, having received the plea, debates and ultimately resolves to marshal the full might of their interstellar armada. Their plan is to use star-manipulating vessels capable of reordering entire stellar systems to launch a counteroffensive against the serpent invaders’ home universe—a war that will determine the fate of both a dying universe and the threatened galaxies of the Federated Suns. The epic concludes with fleets from two universes converging for an inevitable, colossal confrontation. With the Andromedan promise of military assistance now secured, the patrol’s earlier losses, desperate maneuvers, and narrow escapes set the stage for a decisive battle—one in which the survival of countless worlds and the order of the cosmos itself hang in the balance.
