The novel follows a man who undergoes a memory transplant to replace his own memories with those of a deceased person. However, the process goes awry and he begins to experience fragmented memories that are not his own. As he tries to uncover the truth about his past, he discovers that his new memories hold secrets and lies that threaten to destroy his identity.
