The story follows Uncle Wiggily, a bunny rabbit gentleman, as he embarks on a series of whimsical adventures. Initially, Uncle Wiggily is excited about Thanksgiving and sets out to find a pumpkin for Nurse Jane Fuzzy Wuzzy to make a pie. Along the way, he encounters various friends and mishaps, including a runaway pumpkin that becomes a Jack o' Lantern, scaring off an alligator. As the seasons change, Uncle Wiggily constructs an ice boat and invites Nurse Jane for a ride. They have a series of humorous incidents on the ice, including bumping into Mrs. Twistytail, a pig, and narrowly avoiding danger from a broken ice patch. The adventure continues with Uncle Wiggily cleverly outsmarting a Fox and Wolf using the ice boat's anchor. With the arrival of spring, Uncle Wiggily and Uncle Butter, a goat, plan a picnic in the woods. They encounter Baby Bunty and other animal children who inadvertently take their lunch. A bear gets caught in a trap set by Uncle Wiggily, but the misunderstanding is resolved, and everyone shares the picnic. Later, Uncle Wiggily joins Floppy Twistytail and Billie Wagtail on a pirate-themed adventure. They explore a cave, believing it to be a pirate hideout. Inside, they encounter the Bob Cat and Bear, who have set a trap for Uncle Wiggily. However, the clever bunny manages to outwit them, turning the tables and capturing the would-be villains. Throughout these adventures, Uncle Wiggily's resourcefulness, humor, and kindness shine, as he navigates each challenge with the help of his friends, ultimately ensuring that everyone enjoys the fun and excitement of their escapades.
