The story follows Uncle Wiggily Longears, a kind and adventurous rabbit gentleman, as he embarks on various escapades. In one adventure, Uncle Wiggily and Nurse Jane Fuzzy Wuzzy visit Uncle Butter the goat on his farm. Uncle Wiggily, dressed in old clothes, attempts to gather eggs but mistakenly climbs a tree to collect what he thinks are hen's eggs, only to be chased away by crows protecting their nest. He then crawls under a barn in search of eggs but gets stuck, requiring Uncle Butter and Nurse Jane to rescue him. Despite his efforts, Uncle Wiggily finds no eggs, but Nurse Jane successfully gathers some. In another episode, Uncle Wiggily helps Nurse Jane with house cleaning. During this time, several mischievous creatures, including the Pipsisewah, Skeezicks, Skuddlemagoon, Boozap, Blue Nosed Babboon, and Fuzzy Fox, attempt to capture Uncle Wiggily's "souse" (a term for his ears). Each creature tries different tactics, but Uncle Wiggily cleverly fends them off using household items like a broom, soap suds, and a rake. Ultimately, he uses a hose to drive them all away. In a separate adventure, Uncle Wiggily visits Mrs. No-Tail, the frog lady, and her sons, Bully and Bawly. The frog boys play a prank by cutting holes in what they think is Uncle Wiggily's umbrella. However, when it rains, Uncle Wiggily inadvertently picks up a different, intact umbrella belonging to Mrs. No-Tail, leaving the frog boys' prank ineffective. Throughout these tales, Uncle Wiggily's resourcefulness and good nature help him navigate challenges and outsmart those who wish to trick him.
