Thomas Burke

Thomas Burke (1886-1945) was an English author and journalist. He was born in London and educated at St. Paul's School. He began his career as a journalist, writing for the Daily Mail and other newspapers. He later became a novelist and short story writer, and his works often focused on the lives of the working class in London. His most famous works include Limehouse Nights (1916), The Chink and the Child (1917), and The Street of Adventure (1919). He also wrote several plays, including The Rat (1921) and The Silver King (1922). Burke was a major influence on the British literary scene in the early 20th century, and his works are still widely read today.
