Uncle Wiggily and Baby Bunty, a little rabbit girl, embark on a walk in the woods. Baby Bunty promises not to wear a large hair ribbon that needs constant tying, as she did previously, which had inadvertently saved them from a fox. Uncle Wiggily agrees to the walk after consulting Nurse Jane Fuzzy Wuzzy about dinner plans. Baby Bunty brings her rubber ball, promising not to disturb Uncle Wiggily with it while he naps. As they journey through the woods, Uncle Wiggily, who moves slowly due to rheumatism, finds a spot to rest. Baby Bunty, full of energy, plays with her ball. Despite her intentions, the ball repeatedly interrupts Uncle Wiggily's nap, bouncing onto him multiple times. Each time, Baby Bunty apologizes sweetly, suggesting they play together now that he's awake. Uncle Wiggily, initially intent on napping, eventually gives in to play with her, realizing he won't get any rest with Baby Bunty and her ball around. They end up having a fun time together.
