Uncle Wiggily Longears, a rabbit gentleman, is wandering through the woods contemplating dinner when he hears someone calling his name. Initially cautious, fearing it might be the Pipsisewah or Skuddlemagoon, he soon realizes it's Baby Bunty, a young rabbit. Baby Bunty, carrying yellow flowers, intends to give them to Nurse Jane. Uncle Wiggily sneezes when the flowers are held too close to his nose due to their ticklish petals. Baby Bunty invites Uncle Wiggily to play tag, leading him on a chase through the woods. Suddenly, the Pipsisewah appears, threatening Baby Bunty. However, she cleverly uses her bouquet of flowers to make the Pipsisewah sneeze violently, sending him away. Uncle Wiggily is relieved and impressed by Baby Bunty's quick thinking. He agrees to carry some of the flowers, ensuring they are kept away from his nose to avoid sneezing. The story concludes with everything resolved, and a hint at another adventure involving Uncle Wiggily and a white birch.
