Rudyard Kipling

Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936) was an English author and poet. He is best known for his works of fiction, including The Jungle Book (1894), Just So Stories (1902), and Kim (1901). He was also a Nobel Prize winner in 1907. Kipling was born in Bombay, India, and spent much of his childhood in India and England. He was educated at the United Services College in Devon, England. After leaving school, he worked as a journalist in India and then returned to England in 1889. Kipling wrote many stories and poems about British India, including the poem "Gunga Din" (1890) and the novel Kim (1901). He also wrote stories for children, such as The Jungle Book (1894) and Just So Stories (1902). Kipling's works are known for their vivid descriptions of people and places, as well as their moral and philosophical themes. He was a popular writer during his lifetime, and his works remain popular today.
