Olive Tilford Dargan (1869–1968) was an American poet, novelist, and playwright. She was born in rural Kentucky and moved to New York City in her twenties. She wrote more than a dozen books of poetry, including The Harp of Life (1910), The Wind and the Rain (1912), and The Way of the Wind (1915). She also wrote several novels, including The Heart of the Hills (1913) and The Valley of Vision (1917). Her plays, which were produced in New York and London, include The Shepherd of the Hills (1914) and The Lonesome Road (1917). Dargan was a member of the Poetry Society of America and the National Institute of Arts and Letters. She was also a member of the National Association of Women Writers and Journalists.
